Capacity Building Expert

The Capacity Building Expert will design, adapt, and deliver capacity building programmes and training activities tailored to the needs of tourism sector stakeholders.

The role includes close collaboration with training providers, business development service organizations, and public employment institutions to ensure the relevance and quality of training interventions.

The expert will support SMEs and women entrepreneurs in tourism through targeted capacity building in areas such as product development, service improvement, destination marketing, and business formalization.

The position involves developing and customizing training curricula for different target groups, including women and youth, and for varying skill levels from foundational to advanced.

Participatory, adult-learning, and gender-sensitive training methodologies will be applied to ensure inclusive and effective knowledge transfer.

The role requires coordination with local and national tourism stakeholders, aligning capacity building activities with Albania’s tourism policies and institutional framework.

A degree in tourism, economics, finance, business management, social sciences, or a related field is required.

At least seven (7) years of experience in the design and delivery of capacity building and training programmes within the tourism sector is required.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience working with training providers, business development services, and public employment institutions is required.

At least five (5) years of experience supporting SMEs or women entrepreneurs in tourism, including product development, service improvement, destination marketing, and business formalization, is required.

Demonstrated ability to tailor training curricula for different target groups, including women and youth, and across varying skill levels is required.

Familiarity with participatory, adult-learning, and gender-sensitive training methodologies is required.

Knowledge of Albania’s tourism policy and institutional landscape, including relevant local and national stakeholders, is required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Excellent command of both Albanian and English is required.
