Economist – Financial Markets Specialist

Job description


The Economist – Financial Markets Specialist will analyze developments in financial markets (interest rates, foreign exchange, equities, commodities) to inform decision-making and risk management strategies.

The specialist will monitor monetary and fiscal policies, key economic indicators, and geopolitical events, assessing their potential impact on markets and investment portfolios.

He or she will prepare macroeconomic and financial analysis reports, including scenario building and forecasting assumptions, to support strategic planning and asset allocation.

Qualifications


Master’s degree in Economics/Finance.

10 years of general professional experience.

5 years in economic/financial analysis or advisory services.

Experience in the financial sector.

Knowledge of WAEMU (UEMOA) market instruments and key stakeholders.

Ability to simplify and explain complex concepts.
