Gender Expert

The Gender Expert will provide technical expertise to promote gender equality and equal opportunity across project activities.

The role involves designing, supporting, and contributing to initiatives that advance gender mainstreaming and address structural gender-based inequalities.

The expert will conduct gender analyses, identify gender-based barriers, and propose targeted measures to improve women’s access to employment, entrepreneurship, resources, markets, and networks.

The position includes supporting the design and implementation of programmes and policies that strengthen women’s economic participation and entrepreneurial opportunities.

The role requires facilitating inclusive and participatory stakeholder consultations and ensuring effective integration of gender considerations in multi-sector projects.

A degree in gender studies, economics, social development, social studies, or a related field is required.

A minimum of seven (7) years of demonstrated experience in promoting gender equality and working on gender and equal opportunity initiatives is required.

At least five (5) years of specialized experience in advancing women’s employment and entrepreneurship, including the design and implementation of related programmes or policies, is required.

Proven ability to conduct gender analyses, assess gender-based barriers, and design targeted measures that enhance women’s access to resources, markets, and networks is required.

Experience in facilitating inclusive stakeholder consultations and integrating gender considerations in multi-sector projects is required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Excellent command of both Albanian and English is required.
