Aninver's First Project in the Pacific: visit to Tonga

Last week, our team had the exciting opportunity to visit Nuku'alofa, Tonga, to work closely with the Prime Minister's Office and various government ministries on a transformative project: upgrading and developing the National Portal. This project, supported by the World Bank, is part of Tonga’s commitment to improve access to citizen services through an easy-to-use, accessible online platform.

As we begin this journey, our aim is to streamline and enhance citizen services across government ministries by leveraging digital tools. By building upon existing services, the National Portal will provide a centralized, secure, and efficient platform where citizens can engage with their government like never before. The portal will enable citizens to access vital services—from health and emergency resources to justice and foreign affairs—conveniently and with greater transparency.

During our visit, we held several workshops and meetings with key stakeholders, including productive sessions with the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Fire & Emergency Services. These meetings gave us invaluable insights into the current challenges and aspirations for the digitalization of government services in Tonga. Our discussions focused on the benefits of digital transformation, including improved service delivery, enhanced citizen engagement, and streamlined operations for government agencies.

As our first project in the South Pacific, we are proud to support the Tongan government in its digital transformation efforts and are committed to fostering long-term engagement with both government officials and citizens. Moving forward, our team will continue developing the National Portal, ensuring it meets the highest standards of accessibility, security, and user experience. We will also work closely with Tongan officials to raise public awareness about the portal and encourage its use as a central hub for accessing essential services.

Stay tuned for updates as we work with Tonga to bring this ambitious project to life. If you would like to learn more about our work in digital solutions or other services, please visit our website or contact us at aninver@aninver.com.
