Environmental and Social Development Specialist
Job description
Conduct environmental and social impact assessments (ESIA) to ensure compliance with national and international safeguards for tourism development projects.
Facilitate inclusive community participation processes to integrate local perspectives and mitigate potential risks.
Provide strategic advice on environmental sustainability, social inclusion, and risk mitigation throughout project planning and implementation.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Social Development, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental and social assessment, preferably within tourism or infrastructure sectors.
Expertise in applying safeguard frameworks, leading participatory processes, and conducting gender and inclusion analysis in diverse contexts.
