Aninver wins new contract in Zambia with the AfDB

Strengthening Infrastructure in Zambia with AfDB Support

Aninver is honored to be working once again with the African Development Bank Group to advance Zambia’s Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives. Building on our past partnership with the Zambian government, we’re thrilled to continue contributing to the nation’s infrastructure development by introducing innovative strategies that promote sustainable growth and encourage private sector investment in public assets.

Our Prior Work in Zambia

Our collaboration with Zambia began through a capacity-building program funded by the World Bank. This initiative was designed to help the government attract private sector investment for critical infrastructure projects. By identifying key stakeholders and strengthening their skills, Aninver played a foundational role in supporting the government’s efforts to close infrastructure gaps sustainably. More about this project can be found here.

New Engagement with AfDB: Creating Lasting Impact

Under this new contract with the AfDB, our approach will be both comprehensive and hands-on. Over the next six months, we’ll concentrate on five key areas to equip Zambia with a structured PPP pipeline that aligns with local priorities and draws on global best practices:

1. Macroeconomic and Fiscal Context Analysis
2. PPP Framework Review
3. Development of a Project Pipeline for High-Priority Initiatives
4. Conducting Pre-Feasibility Studies
5. Strategic Recommendations for Implementation

Extensive Expertise in PPP Advisory

At Aninver, advising on PPPs is more than just a service—it’s a core strength we’ve developed across many regions and sectors. Our experience covers transportation, energy, and urban infrastructure projects globally, where we’ve supported the structuring, financing, and management of impactful PPPs. You can learn more about our PPP expertise here and view our brochure here.

This assignment allows us to contribute meaningfully to Zambia’s vision of sustainable infrastructure that meets community needs and bolsters economic resilience. We’re grateful to the African Development Bank for their trust, and we look forward to making strides together in Zambia’s infrastructure journey.
