Aninver Development Partners has been awarded a new contract by the World Bank to support the digital transformation of the tourism sector in The Gambia. This initiative, financed under the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (WeFi), is part of the World Bank's Tourism Diversification and Resilience Project (TDR) and aims to strengthen the capacities and competitiveness of local MSMEs, particularly those led by women.
The assignment involves the design and delivery of a comprehensive training and support program for 30 women-owned tourism MSMEs, helping them shift from offline to online business models. The program includes diagnostics, tailored coaching, training modules on digital tools (Google, Meta, e-commerce), and business matchmaking forums with digital platforms. By integrating lessons from global best practices and emphasizing inclusion and innovation, the initiative will enhance the visibility and market access of Gambian tourism enterprises through strategic digital adoption.
Aninver will lead the implementation of this 3-month assignment, drawing on its expertise in digital transformation, tourism, and public-private partnerships across Africa and beyond.
