Digital Skills training for public and private actors in the tourism industry (the Gambia)
Description of project
The aim of the project was to design and deliver training programs to improve the capacities and productivity of the key public & private sector stakeholders in the Gambian tourism sector by increasing their knowledge of digital technologies and innovation.
In this context, the target audience of the training program was decision-makers and technical staff from the Ministry of Tourism, the Gambia Tourism Board, the Gambia Tourism and Hospitality Institute, and other relevant public agencies and administrations. The objective was to facilitate the transfer of knowledge, skills, and tools that would enable them to make well-informed decisions conducive to safe, inclusive, and sustainable markets.
Services provided
(i) Project understanding and structure;
(ii) Preparation of the capacity building program;
(iii) Implementation of the capacity building program; and
(iv) Monitoring and evaluation.
