Aninver Secures First Contract with the EBRD to Support the Natural Cosmetics and Medicinal Plants Sector in Morocco and Tunisia

Aninver Secures First Contract with the EBRD

We are delighted to announce a major milestone for Aninver Development Partners: our first contract with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Aninver has been selected to conduct a diagnostic study aimed at enhancing value-added production and export competitiveness in the natural cosmetics and medicinal plants sector in Morocco and Tunisia. The assignment is being implemented under the EU Trade & Competitiveness Programme Morocco–Tunisia.

The project will focus on assessing the competitiveness of the sector, identifying investment and technical assistance opportunities for SMEs, and developing strategic recommendations to strengthen regional value chains and improve access to international markets.

This new contract further consolidates Aninver’s growing experience in North Africa and the broader SEMED (Southern and Eastern Mediterranean) region.

Building on Strong Experience in Morocco and Tunisia

Over the years, Aninver has supported a wide range of private sector development, investment promotion and entrepreneurship initiatives across both countries.

In Morocco, Aninver supported Mediterrania Capital Partners with commercial due diligence work and collaborated with IFC on the Morocco Climate Entrepreneurship project, supporting early-stage funders and green ventures to strengthen the country’s cleantech ecosystem.

In Tunisia, Aninver supported the Ministry of Health with a feasibility study for the creation of an Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Exports of Health Services. The firm also advised Hoteles Playa Senator during its expansion process in Djerba and contributed to the Souk At-Tanmia initiative focused on entrepreneurship and SME development.

Strengthening Aninver’s Positioning in Trade and Competitiveness

This assignment reinforces Aninver’s positioning at the intersection of:

  • Trade and competitiveness
  • Private sector development
  • SME support and entrepreneurship
  • Value chain development
  • Investment promotion in emerging markets

We are especially proud that this contract represents our first collaboration with EBRD — an important achievement for our firm and a significant step in expanding our presence in the SEMED region.

We would like to sincerely thank EBRD and the EU Trade & Competitiveness Programme for their trust in our team.
