Development of Program to Strengthen the Digital Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Gambia
Description of project
The main objective of the assignment is to develop a program and methodology to strengthen the digital entrepreneurship ecosystem in The Gambia to improve the quality of services delivered by Entrepreneurship Support Organizations (ESOs) in the country. In particular, the assignment will seek to address the following objectives.
- Conduct a comprehensive review and mapping of the landscape of ESOs (e.g., incubators, hubs, accelerators) in The Gambia that provide services to support digital entrepreneurship and digital adoption, and enhances and increasing talent and human capital in the technology sector
- Design the program and methodology to consider the strengthening of local ESO stakeholders, facilitate regional collaboration, and promote the inclusion of women and persons with disabilities, with the aim of enhancing digital entrepreneurship digital adoption, digital skills development.
- Develop a Roadmap to implement the Program and attain impact targets.
- Review and validate the Methodology with interested stakeholders, government and private actors. Scope of work
Services provided
The Consulting Firm is expected to deliver the following outputs:
- Inception report. An inception report delineating the proposed methodology, work plan, and timeline for the consultancy.
- Review and mapping of the ESOs landscape report. The report shall include: i) Literature Review and Desk Research, ii) b. Stakeholder Identification and Engagement, iii) Data Collection and Analysis, iv) Mapping, and v) Assessment of ESO Services and Impact.
- Digital Ecosystem Program for The Gambia Draft report A. The report shall consider the following Design the Programme methodology components: i) Capacity Building for ESOs, ii) Regional Collaboration Framework, iii) Digital and soft Skills Development training offering, iv) Digital Innovation Activities, and v) Gender Gap Subprograms.
- Digital Ecosystem Program for The Gambia Draft report B. The report shall consider the following Programme methodology components:
- Sustainability Planning, and
- Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). Roadmap components:
- Key Activities and Milestones, and
- Implementation Strategies. Review and validation components: i) internal review, and ii) stakeholders review.
- Digital Ecosystem Program for The Gambia Draft Final report. A final report consolidating all deliverables and feedback.
