Strengthening Leadership at AfDB: Aninver Launches New ‘Great Managers’ Training Clinics
Aninver Development Partners has signed a new 12-month service contract with the African Development Bank to support the delivery of customized leadership development clinics aimed at strengthening managerial capacity across the institution.

Aninver Development Partners is proud to announce its latest collaboration with the African Development Bank (AfDB) under a new 12-month service contract focused on leadership and supervisory training. The engagement will support the implementation of the ‘Great Managers’ Clinics, an internal initiative led by AfDB’s People and Talent Management Complex to build leadership capacity within the Bank’s diverse and dynamic workforce.
The objective of the program is to:
- Enhance core management and supervisory skills across departments
- Identify challenges faced by team leaders
- Improve alignment with AfDB’s People Strategy (2021–2025)
- Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and people development
The program aligns with the AfDB's broader vision of delivering effective development solutions through a high-performing, engaged workforce.
Scope and Delivery
Aninver will lead the end-to-end delivery of the clinics, including:
- Analysis of performance data and legal HR case trends
- Development of course content, real-life case studies, and workshop materials
- Delivery of interactive 2x3-day training clinics for two pilot cohorts
- Evaluation of training impact and participant feedback
- Recommendations for scaling the clinics Bank-wide
The assignment includes pilot in-person delivery, with sessions blending theory and practical activities such as case analysis, talent management tools, and hybrid work challenges. Training will be tailored to AfDB-specific management issues, co-developed with internal HR stakeholders.
