Description of project
Baseline and Pilot Design for iCOAST: Sustainable Tourism in Zanzibar
The iCOAST project aims to promote sustainable tourism practices in Zanzibar by fostering an enabling policy and regulatory environment, developing innovative financing mechanisms, and supporting sustainable supply chains.
The overall goal is to reduce pollution, emissions, and overuse of natural resources, while generating equitable and resilient livelihoods for local communities.
Aninver’s consultancy focused on baseline data collection and the design of pilot activities to inform the development of the full iCOAST program, ensuring evidence-based planning and measurable environmental and socioeconomic impact.
