Consulting firm in The Gambia

Our experience in The Gambia

In The Gambia, Aninver Development Partners has played a key role in advancing digital transformation, strengthening entrepreneurship ecosystems, and supporting sustainable economic development across several high-impact initiatives. Our work spans private-sector development, digital strategy, tourism transformation, and investment climate reforms—reflecting our broad experience supporting governments and development partners in West Africa.

Development of Program to Strengthen the Digital Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Gambia

One of our flagship assignments in the country is the Development of a Program to Strengthen the Digital Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in The Gambia, implemented under DTfA and WARDIP. Through this project, our team is developing a national blueprint to strengthen Entrepreneurship Support Organizations (ESOs)—including hubs, incubators, and accelerators—in order to improve the quality and reach of digital entrepreneurship services.
The assignment includes mapping the ESO landscape, designing a comprehensive support methodology, integrating women and persons with disabilities into digital innovation programs, and creating a detailed implementation roadmap to drive long-term impact. This work supports The Gambia’s ambition to build a more resilient, inclusive, and innovation-driven digital economy.

Green Investment Climate Diagnostic (GICD): Policy and Regulatory Barriers in The Gambia

Another major engagement is the Green Investment Climate Diagnostic (GICD) conducted for the World Bank. The project evaluated policy and regulatory barriers affecting investment in agribusiness, tourism, and waste management.
Our team led extensive stakeholder consultations, regulatory reviews, quantitative and qualitative data analysis, and international benchmarking to deliver actionable reform recommendations. The findings directly support The Gambia’s efforts to foster sustainable private-sector development and unlock green investment opportunities.

Training of MSMEs in the tourism sector on digital technologies and innovation in The Gambia

We have also supported the World Bank in boosting digital and innovation capabilities within the tourism economy through multiple initiatives. One of them is the Digital Skills Training for MSMEs in the Tourism Sector, focused on helping women-led businesses strengthen their digital marketing, online sales, and e-commerce capabilities.
The project enhanced the competitiveness and online presence of 30 tourism MSMEs, enabling them to better access global markets and integrate with digital platforms.

The Gambia Digital Tourism Strategy

We also designed the Digital Tourism Strategy, a national framework to guide the sector’s digital transformation.
The strategy included value chain mapping, identification of digital barriers, case study benchmarking, and policy recommendations to improve productivity, digital readiness, and visibility of tourism firms and destinations. It reinforces The Gambia's broader Tourism Recovery, Diversification, and Resilience agenda.

Digital Skills training for public and private actors in the tourism industry

In addition, Aninver delivered a comprehensive digital capacity-building program for policymakers, technical staff, and institutions such as the Ministry of Tourism, the Gambia Tourism Board, and the Gambia Tourism and Hospitality Institute.
The training strengthened institutional capabilities, improved understanding of digital technologies, and equipped public-sector actors with tools to foster safer, more inclusive, and innovative tourism markets.
