Revision of the existing digital strategic roadmap for an engineering firm
Description of project
An engineering firm is starting a new strategic cycle, following a successful two year run, where the company has met many of its strategic goals for the 2021-25 strategic cycle.
For this last part of the cycle, and also as a guiding principle to the next cycle 2025- 2028 – which will be object of a new Strategic Plan to be developed.
The company aims to achieve these key objectives by employing an ambitious buy and build strategy, while protecting profitability, and to continue the business transformation aligned with sustainability, digital trends and talent management best practices.
The firm hired Aninver to update its current digital strategic guidelines and tactical plan, within the broader strategic guidelines

1. Starting point and market context update
- Overview of capabilities and weaknesses – Update
- Understand current plan, ongoing initiatives, and first feedback from clients and internal org.
- Market benchmark update (top tier players, local players, niche players)
2. Strategy formulation
- Formulate a vision on target business models and overall broad digital strategy (services vs applications mix, platform models, marketplace?)
- Revise and adapt or propose new initiatives to achieve revenue and recurrence targets
- Produce a medium-term strategic view on how to extract value from data generated by digital operations
- Define initiatives prioritization and portfolio strategy
