Development of an Innovation and Coworking Hub in Fuengirola (Málaga)
Description of project
The project, commissioned by the Fuengirola City Council, focused on assessing the potential reuse of the former “Cantora Copas” building, located in the Sohail River Park, to establish a new Innovation and Entrepreneurship Hub.
The initiative aims to transform 806 m² of built area into a multifunctional facility that promotes innovation, entrepreneurship, training, and social engagement within the Costa del Sol region. The study supported the rehabilitation and valorization of a disused public asset, proposing its conversion into a flexible and sustainable coworking and incubation space designed to stimulate local economic growth.
The project also explored the integration of training, cultural, and community programs to strengthen social cohesion, and developed a public-private concession model to ensure the hub’s long-term financial viability and operational efficiency.
