Description of project
The Africa Energy Portal (AEP), launched in 2018 by the African Development Bank (AfDB), is a one-stop digital platform for energy sector data, policy insights, and knowledge products across the continent.
The project focuses on the efficient management and continuous improvement of the portal to strengthen its role as a trusted reference for governments, regulators, investors, and utilities. Key objectives include enhancing data accuracy, improving visualization and user experience, and expanding the platform’s reach as a central hub for reliable, data-driven energy intelligence in Africa.

- Content Management: Oversaw daily and weekly updates of energy-related news, events, and policy developments across Africa.
- Data Management: Improved and maintained the Electricity Regulatory Index (ERI), developer databases, and statistical datasets.
- Knowledge Production: Produced blogs, policy briefs, and white papers addressing emerging energy trends and challenges.
