PPP Feasibility Study & Provision of Transaction Advisory Services for Border Markets in Malawi
Description of project
This project aims to assess the feasibility of implementing PPP models in selected border markets in Malawi and to provide transaction advisory services for their development and financing. It supports Malawi's efforts under the Southern Africa Trade and Connectivity Project to enhance cross-border trade infrastructure and leverage private sector investment.
Services provided
Aninver and its partner provided end-to-end support, including:
- A comprehensive PPP feasibility study, covering technical, financial, legal, and environmental assessments.
- Identification and prioritization of border markets with commercial viability and development impact.
- Structuring of the PPP framework, including risk allocation, financial models, and legal arrangements.
- Stakeholder consultations and institutional coordination.
- Development of transaction documents, support to bidding processes, and advisory throughout project procurement stages.
