Description of project

Aninver Development Partners supported the African Development Bank (AfDB) by designing and delivering the 'Great Managers' Management Clinics, aimed at enhancing the Bank’s managerial and supervisory capacity. The project aligned with AfDB’s People Strategy (2021–2025) and the broader goal of fostering a high-performing, knowledge-driven, and innovative institution.

The clinics sought to strengthen leadership skills among Bank managers, identify managerial gaps, validate future training needs, and promote integration of learnings into broader human resources initiatives. The project was implemented over six months and was conducted remotely, in both English and French, across the Bank’s diverse multicultural environment.

Services provided
  • Survey and Data Analysis: Reviewed survey feedback, performance evaluations, and HR legal cases to identify key managerial challenges.
  • Curriculum Development: Designed comprehensive training modules tailored to AfDB’s operational realities, combining internal Bank data with international best practices in leadership and talent management.
  • Training Delivery: Delivered participatory virtual training sessions covering fundamentals of supervision, complex-specific challenges, hybrid work considerations, and talent management tools.
  • Evaluation and Feedback: Collected participant feedback, analyzed satisfaction levels, and provided recommendations for future training programs.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Worked closely with AfDB’s People and Talent Management Complex, aligning content with institutional policies and ensuring ongoing collaboration with HR Business Partners (HRBPs)
